Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 11, 2026
This policy explains what information is collected when you visit this website (poppypencil.com and its pages), and the choices you have about it. This site does not sell anything directly: books are sold and fulfilled entirely by Amazon, so no payment or account information is ever collected here.
What we collect
We don't ask you to create an account or submit a form on this site, so we don't collect your name, email address, or any information you type in. The only data collected comes from two analytics and advertising tools, and only if you accept cookies in the banner shown on your first visit:
- Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram): records that you visited this page and whether you clicked through to Amazon, so we can measure how our advertising is performing. This may involve cookies and device information collected on Meta's behalf, governed by Meta's Privacy Policy.
- Google Analytics: records general, aggregated information about visits to this page, such as approximate location (from IP address), device and browser type, and which links were clicked, so we can understand how the site is used. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Cookies and your choices
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or reject these two tools. If you reject, neither Meta Pixel nor Google Analytics loads, and no cookies are set by them. Your choice is remembered on this device. You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page.
Amazon
When you click through to buy the book, you leave this site and go to Amazon, which has its own separate privacy practices and terms. We don't receive any personal or purchase information back from Amazon. We can only see, through the tools above, that a click happened.
Children's privacy
This website is intended for parents, educators, and other adults deciding whether to buy the book, not for direct use by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this site.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete information held about you, and to object to or withdraw consent for its processing. Since this site collects very little (and nothing at all if you reject cookies), most requests can be resolved simply by rejecting cookies here and, if you'd like, clearing cookies from Meta and Google directly through their own privacy dashboards. You're welcome to contact us with any question using the details below.
Changes to this policy
If what we collect or why changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top revised accordingly.
